Herd Accreditation
The Shorthorn Beef Seed Stock Accreditation has been released for take-up by members seeking to accredit their herds by conforming to the terms and conditions of the agreement which is now available for downloading.
The accreditation does not make it mandatory for seed stock to be sold under the conditions of the agreement but presents the option for members to do so.
The accreditation has been developed to address inconsistencies associated with the publication of raw objective data and Breedplan Estimated Breeding Values in Shorthorn sale catalogues.
It is designed to provide buyers with a degree of confidence and security through warranty of the estimated performance, parentage, preparation, fertility, docility and soundness of accredited Shorthorn seed stock and to ultimately enhance the credibility of objective description and the value of accredited Shorthorn seed stock.
